By Rev. Gil Olmstead, Spiritual Director
We are excited to announce the addition of Rev. Allie Hutchinson as the newest member of the Team at Rio Grande Center for Spiritual Living. Rev. Allie comes on board as Director of Virtual Community Engagement. Several of you know her from her leadership in the last couple of classes we have sponsored.
Rev. Allie lives in Oakland, CA, making a perfect fit to participate virtually and to support our engaging and understanding the needs of our virtual community members. She brings a wealth of experience developing teams, creating solutions to potential issues, and serving in a Spiritual Community.
From her bio, her journey to ministry has been a rich collection of experience and learning:
“Out of the mists of her southern, Catholic, Cajun culture, an article on Transcendental Meditation arose—like King Arthur’s sword rising out of the magical lake—drawing her into a meditation practice. Rev Allie joined a Unity New Thought church in 1983, obtained a Master’s degree in Spiritual Psychology in 1992 and finally landed at the Oakland Center for Spiritual Living in 2003. A teenage wish to become a minister was finally realized in 2024.”
She is very excited to meet and get to know everyone. Register for the “Ancient Wisdom and Science of Mind” class from September 14-October 12, and you can spend 5 weeks learning more about Rev. Allie!
We are indeed blessed and grateful to be able to welcome Rev. Allie to the Rio Grande Community.
